Brooklyn’s Yellerkin are dropping their debut self-titled four-track EP today! The duo have a knack for crafting woozy indie rock, and we have a definite soft spot for their truthful lyrics and jaunty instrumentals. The band recently released a music video to accompany “Solar Laws,” the EP’s opening track. The video emulates Maurice Sendak’s “Where The Wild Things Are” and follows a young man as he chases down his childhood and fights to preserve it. Check it out and then listen to the Yellerkin in full. The band is also opening for Young & Sick at Baby’s All Right, so you know where the wild things will be tonight.
