World’s Smallest Electric Bike Can Fit into a Backpack

Posted on the 12 December 2014 by Nrjperera @nrjperera

What would you say if I tell you about an electric bike that’s so tiny which you can ride to work and just fold it up to put in your backpack? Sounds impossible, right? Well, the “Impossible” does the impossible by making that impossible possible. Too confusing? Oh! I forgot to mention that this E-Bike is called the “Impossible”.

This right here is the Impossible E-Bike. Made by a team of engineers in Canada and China, the Impossible compact folding bicycle is probably the tiniest E-Bike in the world, which is actually perfect for traveling in urban and traffic-heavy areas. And the best part is, you don’t even need parking space or expensive locks to protect your bike. It just fits right into your backpack.

“When we first began to design Impossible, we felt that Impossible needed to be more than just a folding bicycle. It needed to compact enough to fit inside a backpack and lightweight enough to be easily transported anywhere.”

Don’t let that sleek look and the tiny size fool you, the Impossible can actually carry up to 85 kilograms/180 pounds while speeding at over 12 mph for 45 minutes in a single charge of the battery.

The Impossible project went way past its’ $55,000 Kickstarter goal within just a few days and currently stands at over $287K. The creators of the Impossible E-Bike has offered the bike starting at $430 CAD. Although, those early bird perks are gone. If you hurry up you could get one of these bikes for $530 CAD.
