So if you haven't heard already, today is World Lupus Awareness Day! It is 24 hours where all of us who battle against ourselves get to stand up and tell the world what it is like to have lupus, raise money for research and spread the word that this is a devastating disease!
So for this post I've documented my morning in order to show two things....I may feel like my body is breaking but I'm up and dressed and secondly that purple comes in all shades! Let me explain that a little better....
Lupus affects us all differently! I have completly different feelings, symptoms and lifestyle from the warrior next to me and so on! It affects men, women, children! It does not discriminate against any race, religion or sexuality.....it comes in many varieties...SLE, Discoid Lupus, Lupus Nephritis....and more. It comes in many shades as does purple! So here we all are, each fighting a disease with the same name just a different shade!
