I don't know what it is at the moment, but I can't seem to stop thinking about spending money. After Christmas and the Boxing Day sales I have been doing as much as I can to curb my slightly uncontrollable splurging habits but a mixture of the miserable days, excessive amounts of work and beautiful new spring launches are working away against my willpower and I feel like the purse strings may be let loose in the very foreseeable future. I thought I'd compile a little wish list of some of the things that I have my little eyes on, but who knows, they could be popping up for real on here in a matter of weeks.
Chanel, need I say anymore? Their spring collection all looks perfect but a particular highlight for me would have to be these lip glosses which look like the prettiest, freshest colours known to man. Suitable for day or night, these would be an investment (a.k.a. what I like to call any product which has a slightly ridiculous price tag). Speaking of ridiculous price tags, both the new Rouge Volupté Shines from YSL and Tom Ford lipstick in Pink Dusk are seriously calling to me at the moment. The first I already own in #15 Corail Intuitive so I know that I love the formula and the second, well, Anna (from VDM) likes it so it must be good enough for me!
Carrying on with the theme of lip products, I have been eagerly anticipating the launch of the new Revlon 'chubby sticks' and they are finally here! I really like the look of the shade Demure, which looks like a really gorgeous, glossy nude and would be great for an everyday, no-maintenance lip. And in order to get a perfected, moisturised base, it would be silly of me not to *virtually* pick up a lip balm. I've never heard a bad word about the SUGAR lip balms, and the shade Petal looks so pretty and great for when you are in a rush.
You can tell from the photo that there is an obvious theme of pink going through all my choices, and the Nars Orgasm Blush perfectly fits the bill. The shade looks like it would be lovely for spring to get a youthful, glowing look and since trying my first Nars blush a couple of months ago, I can definitely vouch for the quality of these little babies. I think it would look really pretty paired with the shimmery quads that have just come out from Bobbi Brown. Another thing that I have been lusting over for a while is the Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk foundation, and you may be thinking that it isn't on the list, but I've been tipped off about a dupe, the L'Oreal True match foundation. Glowy but not shiny, medium to full coverage - it sounds amazing at creating the most flawless base ever.
Finished off with a squirt of Victor & Rolf's Flowerbomb the look would be complete and I would have everything I ever wanted. Until, of course, I look at the internet again ...
