Brown...

It's easy enough to fixate on this color during the depths of winter. But before we explore other winter colours lets go back to this photo:

Do you consider dead and decaying vegetation on the ground winter interest too? I do, almost as much as the Miscanthus on the second photo.
Going back to other colours there are the evergreens of course which supply the color... green

Schefflera taiwaniana

Mahonia eurybracteata
Yellow from some midwinter flowering shrubs and trees
Cornus officinalis

Red from berries

Polygonatum tonkinense
Red from man made sources

Orange from the fish

Blue is there too especially from the Yuccas

Yucca linearifolia
And hints of purple from
Yucca desmettiana
Purple from here too, shame it keeled during the strong winds we had a few weeks ago. Cross fingers it'll re-root
Then there are the metallics too, like hints of silver from

Rhododendron 'Viking SIlver'
Even in the depths of winter there can be plenty of color in the garden!Mark :-)
