Winner of Wet Wipes Determined by a Flame Test

The market is flooded with a lot of wet wipes or baby wipes. Every store you go, you will find at least ten different brand of baby wipes. Most of the wipes are made with polyester which is not good for babies or anyone in general. They cause rashes and irritate their delicate skin. Even pediatricians say the same. Not only temporary rashes but PVCs can cause permanent diseases like as skin cancer, hormonal problems, neurological diseases and more. No one wants their child to suffer from something so terrible. Not only the material of the wipes but the ingredients in it can take us for a toss as well if we look at it clearly. They are loaded with harmful preservatives and formulas which are supposed to kill germs but let me tell you majority of them are chemicals. Things to be observed: 

•  Odor: On burning the Mothersparsh Baby Wipes, you’ll notice it doesn’t smell bad or smells like burnt diyas or cotton (lamp). On the other hand if wipe X smells the same then its fine but if it smells foul or like a plastic burning (which happened when I did this test with X brand wipe) then it contains PVC/polyester and harmful chemicals. 

• Fabric: While burning the X wipe I found the edges of the burnt portion getting hardened like plastic would if it’s burnt. This confirms the presence of polyester in the wipe. But, the Mothersparsh baby wipes did not leave any hard edges and burnt to ashes. This confirms the purity of the wipes.
