But, how do we know which one is the best and safest for our little ones? How do we find which one is harmless and is not made with polyester? Well, the answer to this is by doing a basic flame test. Let me also tell you that the only wet wipe which excelled in the test is the Mothersparsh Baby Wipes. Mothersparsh Baby Wipes are water based wipes that are made of 98% water and cotton fabric. It is hypoallergenic and is suitable for babies of all ages. They are specially formulated to protect baby's delicate skin. They are as good as cotton and water. How am I saying this so confidently? Well, you can say it too by performing this flame test.
What you need:
- Candle.
- Baby wipes of any brand.(Lets call it X).
- Mothersparsh Baby wipes.
Procedure: All you have to do is light the candle and take a baby wipe of X brand. Burn the wipe in the flame. Repeat the same with Mothersparsh baby wipes.
Things to be observed:
- Odor: On burning the Mothersparsh Baby Wipes, you’ll notice it doesn’t smell bad or smells like burnt diyas or cotton (lamp). This means the wipe is safe and there’s no synthetic fragrance or chemicals added in it. It’s also free from polyester. On the other hand if wipe X smells the same then its fine but if it smells foul or like a plastic burning (which happened when I did this test with X brand wipe) then it contains PVC/polyester and harmful chemicals.
- Fabric: While burning the X wipe I found the edges of the burnt portion getting hardened like plastic would if it’s burnt. This confirms the presence of polyester in the wipe. But, the Mothersparsh baby wipes did not leave any hard edges and burnt to ashes. This confirms the purity of the wipes.
This is why I was so confident about the Mothersparsh Baby Wipes being the winner of wet wipes. It is also eco friendly and 100% biodegradable. Also, it comes in a very affordable price. You can grab them here . What else do we need for our babies? Do this test by yourself and get the best for your little champ.
