Wine Cork Monogram

I love all thing monogrammed and combined that with my love of wine.  With so many B’s in our name (Brent & Brittany Beaver…or future Mrs. Beaver

) it’s easy to love monograms.  This is a simple, quick project and looks perfect in this little alcove in our living room.

All you need for this project is a hot glue gun, wine corks, and I picked up this wooden letter from a local craft store for a few bucks.  I save all my corks in this “vino” wall hanger, which was starting to spill over, so it was definitely time for a project so I can make room for more.

I found it easiest to glue each cork down as I went versus setting all the corks up first because they kept falling over.  Place a small dot of hot glue on the bottom and a line down the side to glue to the cork next to it.  I think it is nice to alternate the colors of the cork from the whites and reds.

This is a special project for me because the monogram contains champagne corks from our engagement and special bottles of wine shared by friends and family.  I carefully placed the corks so that the names of the wine/vineyard show on the outside as much as possible.

Just play with the sizes and shapes of the corks to make it fit into whatever letter is special to you!!  I love how it turned out and think this would make a great housewarming gift for a friend!

Have a good week and enjoy a glass of wine…for craft projects of course!!
