Bloggers blog and why? To reach out! And prayers are answered when you get an invite to attend an awesome event for the blogging industry. I was fortunate to be invited to be a part of the most rocking blogging event - WIN15 by BlogAdda.
It is really nice to see an event where we can meet bloggers spread across the country at a single place. When talking with someone on the social space, it is sometimes difficult to connect with some bloggers who are not too great with their networking skills. They just need that nudge, meeting in person, to get the social side ready. BlogAdda gave us just that.
The event had amazing sessions to look forward to and it didn't hurt to know that the event was in JW Marriot - awesome food! It was great to meet the king and queens of the social world and that too in person. Here is a roundup of events that I attended -
Morning session
We were welcomed to an awesome spread of breakfast goodies to get us ready for the loaded sessions ahead. The welcome bay gave us our very own badges - I call them honor rolls! The photo bay with props was such a cool touch to a knowledge rich sessions.
Pre-lunch sessions
THE WARP & WEFT OF STORYTELLING
If you like me struggle with storytelling, this was a session that you shouldn't have missed. I did miss it since I came in a bit late, but from what I heard it was a great insight into exactly that.
BLOGGING: THE SOCIAL ALCHEMIST
Another awesome session that I missed, but was really interesting. People were raving about how the blogging world was so well put across by the speakers.
HUMOUR: THE JET FUEL FOR YOUR CREATIVITY
This was the last session that I missed and I promise no more were missed! This one as the title explains was all about the importance of humor in creating content that sells.
THE BUSINESS OF TRAVEL BLOGGING
Ajay Jain had the crowd rethinking their strategy towards life. What is it that you want most out of your time on the planet? The simple takeaway from this discussion was stop making excuses and make your travel plans now.
THE GODS MUST BE CRAZY!
When the god talks, you listen! That is exactly what I did and was left mesmerized. I wonder why I never followed him before. The simple Q&A was hilarious, yet insightful.
BRANDS & BLOGS: PERFECT BEDFELLOWS
This was my favorite session. I loved how Prashanth explained what the companies want, how your content needs to speak for itself, and simply - what sells! Ashok gave great insight into simplicity related to campaigns, while Harini poured her experience to explain how blogging has changed.
If these were knowledge overload, we were given some time to soak that information over the wonderful spread of delicacies from across the world by Marriot. The modaks were my absolute favorite and so the flavor of the season!
Post lunch was why I was actually invited by BlogAdda. The Pampers invite only event to unveil their newest range of diapers. More about the product in another blog. The event as such was filled with little ones, discussions about babies, and basically everything I like about parenting!
The whole evening had a generous sprinkling of Siddharth Kannan's awesome jokes and one liners. Overall it was genuinely an event that no blogger should have missed. IF you did miss it, make sure you don't miss it next year.
