English actor, director and writer Stephen Fry has stepped forward to help launch this new project by recording his voice for his Wikipedia page. You can now listen to it here. The BBC has teamed up with Wikipedia to speed up this project by helping collect the voices of popular people more quickly. Wiki pages for Sir Tim Berners-Lee, Aung San Suu Kyi and many others has already been updated. More are on the way.

WikiVIP asks contributors and celebrities to help improve this new service by recording voices for their pages, in any language they feel comfortable. Soon, we will be able to listen to the voices of our beloved idols and the greatest people on earth, thanks to Wikipedia.
