If you work in a business casual or professional environment, take the same consideration for wide-leg cropped pants as you would when choosing any other type of work pants. Avoid styles that are too casual. Choose pants that are appropriate for work and style them in a way that is appropriate for your workplace.
I styled these pants from Madewell with a yellow cropped cotton cardigan from Alex Mill. Under the cardigan, I layered a Nic + Zoe tank and finished the outfit with a pair of block heel sandals from Jeffrey Campbell and faux suede leaf necklace.

Shorter jackets work better with wide-leg cropped pants than longer ones, which can throw off the proportion of the pants. I styled these tan wide-leg cropped pants with an orange and soft blue tweed cotton jacket that I layered over a soft blue scoop neck t-shirt, all pieces from Akris Punto. The outfit was finished with orange block heels from Marc Fisher and labradorite drop earrings.

These next printed pants from Cos are quite versatile because they can be worn with lots of colors. I styled them with a bright green sweater from J. Crew, navy woven heels from Boden and pendant necklace.
In this last look, I simply styled a pair of basic black wide-leg cropped pants with a bright fuchsia pink wrap top from Chelsea28, a colorful necklace from Stella+Ruby and black wedge sandals from Louise et Cie.
