Have you guys every split your stay between hotels when in one city? If not, hear me out as to why you need to definitely give it a try on your next trip which is longer than three days.  Our trips are either weekend getaways (usually to drivable cities and town or staycations) or are at least five days long where we add a day or two to a long weekend and decide to explore a new state or country. Whenever we are planning these trips we always try and split our time between two hotels instead of one. We have been doing that for the past couple of years and have realized it ends up enhancing our stay. Sometimes we pick the hotels in the same neighborhood, especially when all the action is focused within a certain radius, or we pick them in two completely different neighborhoods which gives us a feel of two vacations in one. Splitting the stay also rejuvenates the energy because as soon as you checkout and check-in into a new property you are again in that exploration zone where you are excited to find out what lies ahead. Sometimes it can also be economically beneficial to do that because you can pick the dates which have better fare at the two properties. It is a matter of luck and research but we have been successful at doing so several times. Lastly, it also gives you new restaurant options, especially we you tend to have breakfast at the hotel. Having the same menu for 4-5 days can get monotonous but staying at two hotels are provide instant variety.   Our most recent experience of splitting the nights was during our visit to Seattle where we stayed for the first two nights at Hotel Monaco and the next two nights at Hotel Vintage, which was only a few blocks apart from each other. However, just that one switch recharged us and added the swing in our step again. Not to mention that fabulous room with the view to the Seattle Public Library and a scrumptious meal at Tulip was a cherry on the top. If you have read my review of Hotel Monaco then you already know that my first experience with Kimpton properties was stellar. Hotel Vintage was no exception. It is a newly renovated immaculate property with all the standard Kimpton amenities. Our meal at Tulio was absolutely mouth-watering. The restaurant has an old world charm which automatically enhancing your experience. Adding to that the food and service both are top-notch. When you visit must order their Gnocchi, as it is to die for. I will leave you with the pictures from our stay and meal below ...
