Hershel was curious how much his dental practice had changed over ten years. So he asked Linda, his office manager, to go “back in time” to Microsoft Word ’97 and pull out notes recorded during a team meeting in May 2003.
When he looked at the document, Hershel noticed it contained a number of goals for the dental practice: handle team lateness, handle bad paying insurances, handle broken appointments, handle lost lab cases, and get the new version of Dentrix set up.
Out of all of these goals, only one out of five was checked off after ten years.
