Why Shaving Just Does Not Work Anymore?

By Alyssa Martinez @ItsMariaAlyssa

Approximately 85 per cent of women in the US can remove their hair weekly, or even daily. The practise of shaving isn't recent, as women in ancient Egypt and Rome might have already shaved their body hair and found uncivilized it. Yet things have shifted, and today, many women have opted to ditch shaving to preserve their natural appearance.

THE CONS OF SHAVING:

Shaving irritates your skin:

It can be very difficult on the skin to strip your body hair, no matter what technique you choose. As we all know, rashing is a simple way to wind up with nicks and cuts soon afterwards, and hours or sometimes days after, razor bumps or rash.

In the meantime, waxing, sugaring, and plucking both make us susceptible to excruciating hair that grows as the fresh hair begins to pass into the empty follicle.

The hair starts to develop back a bit thicker, but only momentarily, because it may cause discomfort, redness or even pimples in very sensitive places when you start to shave it again for a couple of days.

Shaving over time can become more difficult:

Persistent grooming can result in a coarser and rougher texture of the hair, which can render the hair more challenging to clean with a razor over time. Using an electronic razor will also more quickly shave stubborn, coarse hair than a manual one.

It causes dark spots and hyperpigmentation:

Using a razor repeatedly produces red or black streaks, and is certainly a con to cut body hair. You could end up scratching hair on the surface of the skin if you shave daily and not from the base, which will create dark stains on the skin. Red and itchy skin may also be the product of rashing and not properly moisturizing the face.

It is not a permanent solution:

One of the biggest limitations with shaving is not only that it is not a permanent hair loss method, but the hair grows back very rapidly. So quick obviously, that any time they have a shower, many people have to clean their legs and underarms.

The treatment of laser hair is effective and way better than shaving:

You will save a lot of money:

Initially, it can sound like a reasonably large expenditure, but think about the long-term consequences. You would no longer need to arrange more appointments until you're done with the necessary amount of laser sessions. Much better, on your own, you won't have to resort to shaving or waxing at home!

Although this definitely makes your life far simpler to stress about just one less issue, it's very cost-effective too.

As there is no more need to invest every month on hair reduction drugs, you will save a substantial sum of money. You should mark off your monthly shopping list with depilatory creams, wax strips, and razors!

  • Shaving various areas of the body in each location will have varying consequences. Your thighs may feel nice and elastic, but for your bikini line, the same might not be valid. Possibly, as they develop out, you will also get darker and coarser fur. The skin discolouration that sometimes occurs, especially if you shave your underarms and bikini line, is even more irritating.
  • You should count out these uncomfortable side impacts with laser reduction. In no way does the treatment hurt the skin and holds it healthy and clean. During the process, certain clients may feel mild discomfort but this will go away after the session finishes.

The laser therapy is much more comprehensive and efficient than other types of hair reduction. The hair removal handset not only trims or pulls off the hair on the skin, but also attacks the hair follicles underneath. This ensures that after the treatment is done, you won't be at risk of uncomfortable and frustrating ingrown hair. The laser actually strengthens and reduces the current ingrown hair.
