A whole day sipping drinks with a loved one was bound to mean that we'd need feeding to spread out the cocktail consuming. For a light lunch snack, we popped into Revolution to see what they offered...I have only ever been in to a Revolution Bar for food once before, a few years ago, and the menu has changed a lot since then. However, I am obsessed with drinks that they have available. They have a huge range of delicious, interesting and unique cocktails available and an even bigger list of shot flavours! Pancake Syrup flavour?! Whaaaat?! Me and my boyfriend both opted for a 'Blank Canvas' cocktail. This is vodka, lemon, sugar syrup and soda and you then choose a flavor to top it all off, I decided on a sugary bubblegum whilst my other half went for an ol' school pear drop. They were absolutely delicious and I'll definitely be trying other flavours when I visit again! The pipette addition of the flavor was such a cool touch.
For food, we spied on the menu that they do a range of 'small plates', which sounded exactly the type of thing that we were after and for 3 for £14 it sounded ideal. Our first choice was Buttermilk Fried Chicken, which to be honest, disappointed me a little bit. It was kind of just, plain. Thankfully, the Smoke 'n' Fire Mini Burgers had a lot more kick to them. The meat was ridiculously tender to the point where it melted in the mouth yet the spices and hot sauce made them equally as tasty. To level with the meat we ordered the Sweet Potato Wedges and as they always are, they were beautiful.
All in all we had a lovely light snack at Revolution and I would love to go back for an evening meal and of course, more cocktails! Is there a Revolution in your town?
