Then I found this video explaining how it all started in 2003 when Matt Harding quit his job designing video games and traveled the world. He made a video of himself standing in front of various landmarks. The video went viral. Then Strike Gum offered to sponsor him to make more world-traveling videos. On a trip to Rwanda, Matt spontaneously began dancing, and a bunch of kids joined him. You know the rest….
The video below also shows how people who fancy themselves savvy about Internet hoaxes turned out to be the most gullible. Hilarious!
