When It Rains

By Stephanie

Everyone including the fluttering insects in the air want to stay dry during rainy days, I discovered. I found one butterfly hiding under a leaf of my Plumeria tree and wouldn't move at all even when I was near it.

The rain kept the insect immobile for a while.

But, the snails love the rain. They come chomping everything on their way when the soil and plants are wet. I really don't like them. These two... they got thrown to the ground and squished!

Inside the house, in one of my terrariums, the Nerve Plant has grown a little taller. Glad to see this happening :D

Also my French Bean vine is progressing well in the pot below.

To add a dash of colour to this shallow pot, a purple Kaempferia pulchra appeared inbetween the rippled leaves of the plant.

It was the Hibiscus blooms that were more outstanding. They look ever brighter when the sun is shining on them.

The Spider Plant is a fascinating plant. Once the 'baby spiders' were formed, tiny white blooms will follow. Have you notice them before?

Have a marvellous day!
