Happy July my friends!Today has me wondering what I will be wearing on July 4th
One of the beauties of bloggingis that I have a vivid record of outfits wornso today I went back to search for some 4th of July options and thought I would share just in case you too were looking for 4th wardrobe inspiration!
Even though the Fourth is only days awayI still have no idea what we will be doingso I have pulled many different lookshoping that maybe I would be inspired me for the day!
This outfit here is about as classic Fourth color and piece choices as you can get.Especially with my 4th of July vintage necklaceit seems almost a shame not to pull this beauty out!
A classic Breton stripe will always workfor the 4thwhether it is styled up or down! This Saint James is still one of my favorite pieces I picked up in Parisbut many versions are readily available here as well.
Plain or layered over denimbold accessories or none …it's a fabulous piece for not only the 4thbut a classic wardrobe staple besides.
If I am feeling particularly bold that daystripe on stripe on stripeis always an option!
Clean red, white and blue pairingswith a pop of a huge red floral brooch is a classic approach with flair!
It's supposed to warm hereso a shorts suit with stripes and fedora are an option.
In case an invite for a formal affair on a yacht comes inthis would be perfect for fireworks and cocktailssailing into the night!Turbans and berets are always perfect sailing choicesas they prevent being battered by your own hairand always look polished.
I could do the 4thavant gaude style and pot for only white choices.
Or maybe go entirely the other waywith bold color and pattern mixingwith even adding a little yellow to the color palletand give it a fresh 4th interpretation.
I am liking the idea this year of mixing insome ethnic pieces to my 4th of July ensemble choiceslike this red Chines jacket mixed with nautical stripes and fedora.
This long red kimono could also be a choicedepending on our destination for the day.I am thinking the Getty Museum in LA might be a choice …if they are even open?
I could go for an easy retro vibe …
But today my favorite is this mix of nautical, leopard and bold tassel earrings!
This is an easy outfit if sight seeing is on the agenda.
My beautiful red cape would be a perfect choiceif the weather permittedbut alaswool for the 4th hasn't been an option.
Open though it could ward of a summer night chill.
Staying home a nautical stripe tunic would be a choice!
A denim trench could be an option for dinner out.
Even one of my favorite pairingsa sweatshirt and ball skirt could workdepending on the occasion.
If we opt to stay home in the backyardI do know what I will be wearing.
Or maybe this optionbecause it's absolutely comfortableand still can sing 4th of July with ease!
I hope this post has inspired you to shop your own closet for some 4th of July options! What do you have planned to Celebrate the Day?
As always my friends
I wish you love and joyas you style your life
