Happy weekend! Here are some shows to help pass the time this weekend. Again, it's a mix of old and new!

The Last Dance

What to Watch This Weekend: April 24, 2020

What it's about: The 10 part documentary chronicles the untold story of Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls' dynasty. (ESPN)

Why you should watch: I know it must seem like hell is freezing over when I am suggesting a sports docuseries. I'll admit I might not have watched if I weren't living with my boyfriend, but it turned out to be quite compelling. This has not turned me into a sports loving convert, but it's Jordan!

Sex & The City

What to Watch This Weekend: April 24, 2020

What it's about: How do single women and men find mates in New York? Sarah Jessica Parker stars as 30-something writer Carrie Bradshaw, whose personal life and friendships are fodder for her weekly column. (HBO)

Why you should watch: I've watched this show from start to finish more times than I can count. There are definitely aspects that are problematic and/or didn't age well. Once you get past that it's a great rewatch (or first time watch if you're one of those few people).

Vida

What to Watch This Weekend: April 24, 2020

What it's about: ""Vida" follows two Mexican-American sisters, Emma and Lyn, from the Eastside of Los Angeles who couldn't be more different or distanced from each other. (Starz)

Why you should watch: Vida is an interesting take on gentrification. The two sisters are the gentrifiers. Seeing these sisters come together (and apart) is also fantastic to watch.

(Hulu)

Why you should watch: Okay, this is the second time I've included this show in a round up. The season finale was so good that it's worth mentioning again.
