Now that their time in Bon Temps is well and truly over, it’s time to check up on where we can see the stars of True Blood on our screens next. Whatever we may think about Brian Buckner’s writing team over the last couple of wasted seasons, one of the abiding delights of the show was the quality of the top-notch cast, who continued to make the very most of whatever material was thrown at them right until the end.

Let’s start today with the ladies first…….

mal

Kristin Bauer Van Straten will certainly find Pam a tough act to follow, but it is already confirmed that she is returning to Once Upon A Time to as Maleficent.

EW has learned exclusively that the True Blood alum will reprise her dastardly role as villain Maleficent during the second half of Once’s upcoming season.

Could this mean that Maleficent will be season 4’s other big villain after the Frozen storyline? It’s unclear as of now, but Bauer will be back as a recurring guest star for a big arc, so here’s hoping this means the show will dive more into her past, as well as Aurora’s history.

The last we saw of Maleficent, she was locked away in a cave under the clock tower, stuck in dragon form until she was slain by Emma in the season 1 finale. She then came back in nightmarish zombie form at the end of season 2.

She also has a part in the movie Teen Lust which so far only has only shown at the Toronto Film festival.

goodwife

The multi-talented Carrie Preston is to return to The Good Wife as Elsbeth Tascioni in season 6. You will also soon see her in the television drama Recorded Lives, co-starring Samantha Smith and Michael Lerner, and the drama Ruth and Alex, about a married couple dealing with the fallout of moving away from the apartment where they’ve spent their entire lives as a couple.

Deborah Ann Woll has gone back to blonde to play the major role of Karen Page in Netflix’s brand new show Daredevil, the story of a blind lawyer with his other senses superhumanly enhanced fights crime as a costumed superhero.

Woll will play Karen Page, the love interest to blind crime-fighter Daredevil, aka Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox), in the 13-episode series. Vincent D’Onofrio, Rosario Dawson, Elden Henson and Peter Shinkoda are also series regulars
