What Kind of President Accepts Prayers and Worship?

By Eowyn @DrEowyn

‘Thank you for all the stuff that you helped us with’

While U.S. presidents may very well be the most powerful individuals on earth, the operative phrase is “on earth,” but a string of incidents has developed in which Barack is credited with much, much more.

The latest is an online video in which a young boy appears to be praying TO Obama.

Not for him. Not about him. TO him.

“Thank you for all the stuff that you helped us with. Thank you for taking the courage and all the responsibility for everything you have done for us. And God has gave you special powers and you are going to handle it just fine,” the boy prays.

“You are good, Barack Obama. You are great,” he concludes, throwing his arms in the air and screaming, “Barack Obama!”

In a report on, a site featuring onetime GOP presidential candidate Herman Cain, Robert Laurie wrote: “If you thought that Barack Obama was just a mortal man elected to a temporary position in office, you thought wrong. According to this video, he’s much, much, more than that. He is a divine instrument, replete with God-given ‘special powers.’”

Laurie reported the video was posted by the boy’s mother, identified by YouTube as Regina Young. The description reads: “The prayer that he wanted to say for our President is priceless.”

The reaction from YouTube viewers to the boy’s prayer has been disproportionately negative.

One commenter summed up the feelings of many: “Well, that was disturbing.”

“You should be ashamed of yourself for teaching your child that it is acceptable to pray to a man, and not God,” one commenter wrote. “Especially a man hell bent on destroying our nation. Stop breeding..immediately.”

“Disgusting. Pray for this poor child’s soul,” another said.

Another: “Thank you for a free obama phone, thank you for having millions of Americans on food stamps, thank you for an economy that is in the crapper…Should I go on? Oh yeah and thanks for me and my wife being first unemployed and now underemployed.”

Todd Starnes at Fox News wondered at the kind of parent who would allow a child to be recorded in such a prayer.

But it’s far from the first transcendent reference to Obama.

A few months back WND reported talk radio icon Rush Limbaugh said that for the Democratic Party, there’s “nothing better; Obama is the messiah.”

“This is part of the Limbaugh Theorem. His supporters simply are incapable of attaching negative motives to him,” Limbaugh explained. “It’s not going to happen, which is my point. They’re wedded to Obama for a host of reasons, ideological loyalty, race, hatred of conservatism. They are going to support anything that denies us any kind of a real or perceived victory.”

In a WND column, Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson wrote: “President Barack Obama is the most divisive man to ever occupy the White House –period! Yet, 95 percent of black Americans worship him as if he’s the messiah. Why?”

He noted Hollywood personality Jamie Foxx’s comment at the Soul Train Awards: “Thank God, and our lord and savior, Barack Obama!”
