Nowadays, yoga is one of the most used methods in the mind-body connection. "Yoga refers to a type of exercise based on controlled breathing, diet, exercise and a series of physical postures.
Yoga is very useful because it helps you to control your mind, contributes to health, and works as a stress-reducer. This type of exercise is mainly recommended to people with a very active and demanding life, especially teenagers. Yoga, a word from the ancient Sanskrit language, is known to have two meanings: union and discipline. Yoga is all about the bodies discipline and the minds discipline and the body and mind becoming one. An understandable theory but is it really possible? Yoga is a spiritual tradition within the great cultures of Hinduism, Buddhism, and Jainism, all native to India. Yoga was developed in the Indian continent over five thousand years ago. The history of yoga can be divided into four broad categories: Vedic Yoga, Classical Yoga and Post-classical Yoga. These categories can are all part of the growing history of yoga. Within traditional yoga there several branches or valid approaches to the goal of self realization. These branches of Yoga all have their advantages and pitfalls, but they are there to show you how yoga is a comprehensive art and science with many facets. Traditionally yoga seeks to provide plausible answers to the most profound questions we ask ourselves to make of our lives. This self knowledge will give us the opportunity to make conscious and better choices; hopefully.
Different Types of Yoga:
Hatha Yoga. The form most often associated with yoga, it combines a series of basic movements with breathing.
