My mom is turning 60 this week, so my sister and I took her for a girls’ day out in Frederick, MD. Listed as one of the top 10 small art cities in the country by American Style Magazine, there is no shortage of restaurants to choose from and shops to browse. After lunch at Cafe Nola, we browsed through the antique markets and other boutiques downtown.
For this fun day out, I pulled out a pair of trouser jeans that I’ve had for a couple of years that I have never worn. In all fairness, I actually got them second-hand from my sister’s friend who was cleaning out her closet. But, I do like them, so there is no reason they should sit there unworn and forgotten.
They have sort of a sailor-esque feel to them with the wide leg and seam at the bottom, so I paired them with a navy striped tank and copper jewelry for a nautical look.
