There’s something in the air during autumn. It is the best time of year. Leaves are changing colors; weather is changing, and the best baseball you will watch all year is on television. During the World Series, you see the best two teams of the season play their hardest. Each player has a new uniform sporting the World Series patch on their right shoulder, stadiums are spotless, and some players wear new baseball helmets. Another thing you see, are rituals and superstitions. Many players have rituals with their baseball bat each time they enter the batter’s box. Some players don’t remember how they came up with their quirky superstitions, but they seem work. But really, who cares? It’s hard not to be romantic about baseball.
