The industry was buzzing when John Abraham and KriArj Entertainment picked Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran to be released on the same date as Anushka Sharma's Pari, this March 2. Surprisingly, both the films are produced by the same production house.

The makers of Parmanu then changed their minds and rescheduled their release dates to April 6 to avert clashes. That leaves Anushka receiving a solo release on the occasion of Holi.
The supernatural thriller, Pari, looks very spooky and is Anushka's first release post her marriage with Virat Kohli. In the past, she has done a lot of roles that have highlighted strong female characters and yet again Anushka plays an abuse victim. Her films, NH10 and Phillauri spoke about issues like honour killings and superstitions.
According to reports, John was upset with KriArj because they were preferring Pari over Parmanu.
John's recent films haven't done well at the box office leading to a dip in his market value. We all understand that it is business and the game needs to be played well.
Parmanu will now hit screens a month later that will give both the films and their filmmakers some space. some space
