Wetpaint.com: Will Dr. Whale’s Fairytale Land Identity Open Up New Worlds?

Post-Apocalyptic Fairytale Land — that’s what Jennifer Morrison (Emma Swan) says they are calling the place she and Snow White(Ginnifer Goodwin)are now stuck on Once Upon a Time Season 2. It’s also the place they are desperate to leave.

Jennifer talked to the Associated Press in a video interview with some nice teaser footage of this Sunday’s Episode 5: “The Doctor,” and the subsequent Episode 6, “Tallahassee.”

EPISODE 5 TEASERS
For example, we know Dr. Whale’s (David Anders) identity will be revealed this Sunday, but that’s not all.

“Part of revealing him is going to also reveal how vast the worlds are,” Jennifer said. “In the Mad Hatter episode in Season 1, there’s a moment where he’s going to Wonderland and you see all these doors. And what that was establishing was that those are doors to all different worlds. No one really knows what all those worlds are yet, so certain characters are going to start to open up different worlds to the show.”

Nice! Also, the video shows a short Ep 5 clip where Whale sits down withPrince Charming (Josh Dallas) to talk about the whispers in Storybrooke that Charming is trying to build a portal to get Snow and Emma back. And at the 1:45 mark, we get the answer to the punch out question.

EPISODE 6 TEASERS
The video actually starts with Emma crossing paths with Captain Hook(Colin O’Donoghue), who is tied up and claims to only be a blacksmith. That appears to be footage from Episode 6, which is when we’ll also get Emma’s personal flashback to when she was a teenager pregnant withHenry (Jared Gilmore).

“When you see Emma’s backstory it’s going to be parallel with what’s going on in her current situation in post-apocalyptic land,” Jennifer said. “The flashback is with someone from Emma’s past, and in the current situation, you see her encounter Captain Hook. You know, I’m in a land where I’m suddenly dealing with magic, and I’m suddenly dealing with things that make no sense to Emma, and she doesn’t know how to operate within them … so she’s sort of forced to make alliances sometimes with people she’s not sure if she can trust.”

So it sounds like she makes an uneasy alliance with Hook, which would make sense considering the plot details for Episode 6.
Catch the next new episode of Once Upon a Time on Sunday, October 28 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
