It's been a long time since I flew into Terminal 1 at Paris/CDG. I had tried to avoid it for years while it was being renovated. It still feels a bit old-fashioned, like a super-modern 1950s buildings. But it had improved a lot since the last time I was there. The signposting was better, there were welcome signs everywhere, and even quite a bit of public art and even funny videos over the baggage claim to keep you amused while you wait.
Christmas decorations still up Welcome!A virtual aquarium on the floor, featuring swimming goldfish. Very cute
Videos to make you laugh while you wait (not that funny, though)
This was a first! A water fountain. I've never seen one in France. €300,000 fine for fakes... they're serious!
Last but not least: taxi dispatchers (in yellow vests) to keep tourists from falling victim to the aggressive illegal "taxi" drivers inside the airport
