Welcome to Paris! CDG Terminal 1

By Sedulia @Sedulia

It's been a long time since I flew into Terminal 1 at Paris/CDG. I had tried to avoid it for years while it was being renovated. It still feels a bit old-fashioned, like a super-modern 1950s buildings. But it had improved a lot since the last time I was there. The signposting was better, there were welcome signs everywhere, and even quite a bit of public art and even funny videos over the baggage claim to keep you amused while you wait.

IMG_1477 A virtual aquarium on the floor, featuring swimming goldfish. Very cute
IMG_1483 Videos to make you laugh while you wait (not that funny, though)
IMG_1479 This was a first! A water fountain. I've never seen one in France. IMG_1478 €300,000 fine for fakes... they're serious!
IMG_1485 Last but not least: taxi dispatchers (in yellow vests) to keep tourists from falling victim to the aggressive illegal "taxi" drivers inside the airport
