The Stratigraphic Porcelain series is designed for the ceramic 3d printer. It's a series of tableware, where each piece has its own source code. 3D printing is becoming more and more popular among designers as they start to experiment with this new technique, that could mark a no return point in the design industry. In fact, 3d printing could change completely the relation among designers, producers and customers by eliminating distribution all together. Moreover, the object (better, its code) could be sent directly to local manufacturers or even customers' home where it would be actually made. Could you imagine?
