was about interviews, right? I interviewed myself, sort of, and I interviewed a seamstress and a group of women who inspire me.
During our back and forth emails when we were redesigning my blog, Mandi wrote how she has enjoyed seeing my blog grow over the last year. I told her that I wouldn’t have made it as far as I have without her – she was a constant inspiration over the past twelve or so months. It was early in Cezanne’s career that he he met Pissarro and the relationship that formed was that of a master and a disciple. Cezanne copied Pissarro not because he wanted to be Pissarro but because he had to practice the techniques of his master before he could develop his own skill, technique, and style. Mandi and Pissarro to me – she is the master I look up to.
Mandi’s the main master I look up to but there are others too. Amparo is one of them and so is Atelier 307. Others include Amy, Bri, Megan are just to name a few.
So cheers and thanks to all the masters out there. You’re helping other artists create, carve, paint, or sew their own masterpiece.
