I took into consideration the suggestions you made on last week’s weekend post (where I asked you what topics you wanted me to post about). Some were positive and some were negative but all were well received. I appreciate the honesty everyone gave, even if it wasn’t kind. Brutal honesty is what I like. There are a lot of subjects that you’re dying to learn about and that I can teach you. So I’m going to run an idea by you. You know the column Dear Abby? Well, what about a Dear Maddie? I receive a ton of pattern making and sewing questions through my contact forum and instead of answering them one by one, I could turn it into an online column/series. I may not know the subject well, I am willing to research it for you and answer your question. It would be beneficial to both you, the person asking the question, and I – it would keep my head in things other than bra making, it would answer the person’s question, and you’d learn something new. What do you think?
Today kicks off Memorial Day weekend, the start my second favorite season, summer. This time of year brings me back to my roots – Florida. My hair goes “poof” and my pores are not so pretty. Afternoons where I spend an hour in front of a fan cooling myself off from the city’s steambath heat are approaching. I love it. I’m spending the weekend redeeming a ton of coupons I bought during a Groupon spending spree a few months ago. Hey, if I’m going to spend money, I’m going to save money while I’m at it. As Eliza Doolittle said, “I’m a good girl, I am!”
