Wednesday Ramblings.

What day is it? The date? I’m not even sure. We were in Ohio for so long that I’ve lost track of what day it is and what I’m doing with my life. Everyone else is all motivated and doing big things and trust me, I plan to do the same. But I’m just having a hard time getting back into my groove. Being in Ohio wasn’t really a vacation because we were constantly moving and making plans. Of course we had a blast seeing family and friends but I’m no where near well rested or “vacationed”. In fact I’m probably even more tired! Ha!

But today is a big day for us… Miss P is heading to “school” for the first time. She will be going twice a week and while I’m super excited to have some free time and to have her interact with some other kids, I’m also feeling sad and nervous. She seems excited to go but I have no idea how it’s actually going to go when I go to leave. It’s going to break my heart and I’m going to want to go running back to get her. But I know I can’t. Since I don’t work outside the home, I need this time to get things done. And she needs to get used to spending time with other people besides me. So many people send their kids to school and daycare everyday so I can do it too, right?

In other news, Z and I started Making a Murderer last night and I am hooked. We’re only on the second episode so don’t tell me anything but all I have to say is wow. Just wow. I’ll leave it at that… and that I can’t wait until the kids go to bed tonight so we can binge watch some episodes. Z and I always joke that I should have been an investigator… I just have a knack for that kind of stuff. So this is totally right up my alley. Of course I took to Google to see how it ends (anyone else have to do that when it comes to any show?) and I just want to say I should have been in charge of the case.

Well since I was forced to check what day it is and be a functioning adult today, I found out it’s Wednesday and almost the weekend! Which means we’ll be celebrating Nolan and P’s birthdays AND my best friends from Fort Drum are coming to visit. I haven’t seen them in a year I think? And I am SO excited to see them! It’s going to be a full house with 4 adults, 4 kids, 3 dogs and 2 cats but I wouldn’t have it any other way if it meant spending time with them.

I just want to leave today’s post promising that all of my posts this year won’t be this random. I’m having a hard time putting on my adult pants today and hopefully I’ll get my life together now that I’m back. Once the laundry from the trip is done, the rooms are cleaned, and my desk doesn’t look like a bomb went off. And I chug this coffee which I brewed from my new Verismo… more on that once I actually have milk to make a latte. But anyways, I’m pumped to get back to the grind and have a lot of fun things up my sleeve… so stay tuned

:)

Happy Hump Day friends… see you tomorrow! xo
