But then my mom said very flatly (the kind of tone I knew not to argue with) "hon, there is no question-- you must have a guestbook".
I did some research and I was pleasantly surprised to find out that the guestbook serves as more then just a reminder of who showed up on your wedding day, but it's a way to create connection and moment with your guest by asking them to leave a message. Often these messages are heartfelt and genuine and make a wonderful keepsake. Now the guestbook is back in and I glad because there are some really cool guestbook ideas out there. Here are a few:
This guestbook idea is pretty simple but I think it's creates a really great space for people to share thoughts and advice for the happy couple. They took blank notebooks and covered them with nicely designed book covers with different questions, like "where do you see us 10 years from now?" or "what's the one thing we should do together in our first year of marriage?"

This a really cozy idea, guests sign different squares on a quilt for the happy couple. So when the weather gets chilly the new Mr. and Mrs. can get under a blanket covered with names of their much loved friends and family.

This one is my very favorite. I have been totally obsessed with stamps all summer and I think this guest book ideas is just the tops. It's so cute and so fun and it gives your guests a chance to get artsy.
