Weather Channel Political Crap

Mrs. Dust and I have noticed tremendous inaccuracies in the forecasting at the Weather Channel for the last few years. At this point, they can’t even get the next day prediction right. At the same time as we noticed this, we also began seeing a lot of bullying on the channel about global warming. If you questioned global warming, you were an uneducated moron. Then there came the newsfeed from MSNBC.

So I did some searching, and found that NBC bought the Weather Channel in…  wait for it… 2008!!! (Hmmm… I wonder what else happened in 2008.)

A little more searching brought up a report about the Weather Channel’s founder speaking up against the global warming hoax in… drum roll please… 2007!!! (That’s just before some other things happened in 2008.)

So we have an honest weather forecaster going off the reservation in 2007, and within one year, a global warming pusher (NBC) buys the company, and begins the purge. What timing!!!

Now what was that other thing that happened in 2008? I’m sure if it’s important, I’ll remember it eventually.

NBC buys Weather Channel

POSTED AT 1:13 PM ON JULY 7, 2008 BY ED MORRISSEY

NBC Universal announced a $3.5 billion acquisition of The Weather Channel, helped along by Mitt Romney’s firm, Bain Capital.  It doesn’t come as much of a shock; all of the other bidders for the property dropped out months ago, including CBS.  NBC plans to combine its newest cable/Internet asset with NBC Weather Plus, which may be the first time anyone has heard of the operation:

Financial terms weren’t disclosed, but a person familiar with the matter who insisted on anonymity said the purchase price was $3.5 billion in cash. NBC was joined in the deal by the private equity firms The Blackstone Group LP and Bain Capital LLC.

In addition to The Weather Channel, which can be seen by 97 percent of U.S. cable subscribers, the deal also includes several related assets such as weather services for newspapers and radio stations and the widely used Web site Weather.com.

The Weather Channel has been a major advocate for global-warming policies. Combining it with the Keith Olbermann/Chris Matthews network will probably result in a major release of greenhouse gases on its own. Given NBC’s inability to impose even a modicum of balance and objectivity at MS-NBC, we can expect Jeff Zucker to use this new outfit as a platform on which to push even harder for statist policies on energy production and use.

Weather Channel Founder DESTROYS Global Warming Myth

Is Global Warming really happening? There are many voices in opposition to the theory and our guest today is just one of those. His name is John Coleman who was the original weathercaster on “Good Morning, America.” After that Coleman founded and served as CEO and President of the Weather Channel.
In 2007, Coleman began to speak out as a skeptic on the issue of global warming. He describes the wave of concern about global warming “a fictional, manufactured crisis.”
He believes many scientists and politicians have engaged in fraudulent activity based on bad science in a continuing quest for funding. He also explains the one-world government motive behind the formation of the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change.
