Tour fatigue is completely understandable, especially when a band has been touring for over a year in support of an album. Knowing that We Were Promised Jetpacks has done just that, though, is what made their show at Brooklyn’s Warsaw truly remarkable. There wasn’t an ounce of exhaustion showcased from the band — just honest, visceral energy that demonstrated why they’ve amassed the following they have. To know We Were Promised Jetpacks is to be a lover of live music, and the band played a show worthy of that reputation. The sweat was constant, the yelling was loud and the energy was intoxicating. Everyone left that show loving them more, and you could tell that the band felt as though they had accomplished something truly special.
