Woke up this morning with a big reminder that summer is officially over. We were VERY lucky with all the sunshine we got in London in the past months, but now it is time to take your coats out of the closet. So last saturday evening, we decided to take advantage of one last warm night to go check out the Urban Food Fest 2013 in East London.

Last time we went to a food fest this summer was in Stratford and funny thing is that the “food fest” was composed of 3 food trucks… As you can imagine, after 1h in the overground, we were kinda disappointed…

This time, we had big expectations and were pretty happy to discover this funky cool food truck gathering, bunch of hippy artists, good singers, London hipsters, and crazy East side people

You could definitely feel the unique vibe of East London reunited in a big parking area behind a gas station. 
Pizza truck – thin, crunchy… YUMMY :D

With a large range of food from all over the world, everyone could find something they liked: burgers, pizzas, peruvian food, korean, amerikorean, german sausages, chinese food, portuguese and french desserts… Saddly the Byron truck got out of order when we got there, due to a gas issue in the truck

To get over this little misfortune we started off our food discovery by tasting a mini macaron burger from the shelve below, before moving on to the real juicy meatty proper burger

If you are wondering how all of this fit in my little stomach, well stop wondering! We were 4 to eat so shared everything and these guys were looking quite satisfied
