It’s a typical night for me – listening to music and surfing the web. I’m bobbing my head to Drake’s We Started From The Bottom Now We’re Here and, ironically, I stumble upon new images of yet another version of Lil Kim’s face. I kept listening to the song but I became bothered. Now I’m thinking, the “here” that Drake refers to is fame and fortune. But maybe “here” isn’t the best place to be – especially in the case of my once favorite female rapper of all time – Lil Kim.

What’s wrong with Lil Kim?
She is crying out for help. She is crying out for love. Obviously suffering from huge self-esteem issues, Lil Kim continues to transform her face with plastic surgery. A tweak here and a tweak there is ok, right? But when you completely transform your identity….There are bigger issues within.
Plastic surgery in general is out of control.
I call it the Joan Rivers-effect. She herself has admitted to over 700+ procedures. Wanna know what’s really weird? Everybody with too much plastic surgery always look the same – “masky.” They look like they’re wearing a permanent mask. Ever see the Jigsaw puppet from Saw series — Yeah, that mask!

Yikes!
I’m wondering. In the next 50 years will all celebrities look like the Lil Kims and the Joan Rivers of today? Will they all become masks? Can you picture any other celebrities becoming obsessed with the knife? Nicki Minaj? Kim Kardashian? Lindsay Lohan?
