Planning your dream summer holiday can be almost as fun as the trip itself, so check out these destinations to inspire your next adventure!
Cyprus
This gem of an island is situated in the Mediterranean Sea, and with a flight time of around five hours from the UK and a time difference of only two hours, Cyprus is ideal if you’re not keen on long-haul trips. With its idyllic beaches, scenic mountains and rich history, there’s something for everyone here, and you can really make the most of your holiday by hiring a vehicle, although resorts are well equipped to keep the whole family entertained if you simply want to relax in one place.
Sharm el-Sheikh
Just a little further from the UK than Cyprus is this stunning Egyptian beach destination on the southernmost tip of the Sinai Peninsula, where you can unwind in the warm Red Sea or take in the landscape on horseback. With long sandy beaches, calm waters and an abundance of coral reefs, this is a great family destination and package holidays are often the easiest way to secure a good deal. 
India
Often discounted as a summer holiday destination because of its tropical monsoons, India is in fact a dream holiday destination at any time of year. Summer is the ideal time to visit the north of India, and a great way to explore is via the incredible mountain train network from which Shimla is the perfect base, this being a beautiful town spread across a mountain ridge. For a luxury experience, though, you can book a holiday on board one of India’s superb luxury trains, where you’ll be whisked in style from place to place, stopping at some of the country’s best attractions along the way.
Mexico
There’s plenty for all the family in sunny Mexico, from its beaches and wildlife to its Mayan sites and sporting activities. Being a long-haul flight of around thirteen hours from the UK, you should make the most of the time and spend at least a couple of weeks here — there’s certainly plenty to keep you occupied. A good base is the Yucatán Peninsula, with popular destinations including Cancun and Playa del Carmen, which are surrounded by the Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico. Bear in mind that Mexico is another destination where a package holiday can be the best solution. They allow you the freedom to relax or explore as desired.
