We ♥ A Romantic Getaway in Bath – I

By Hannah @Hannah_Beraud

On the occasion of our 4 years anniversary, Mr. H & decided to take a trip out of London. We had been talking about discovering the country side for a long time, so after researching the nice romantic areas to visit, we both agreed Bath was the ideal destination for a young couple willing to spend some romantic time while not getting bored :)

To get there the easiest way is to take the train from Paddington station and get off at Bath Spa station (1h and a half journey).

IMG_7572The adventure began when we had to find how to get to the hotel which we found out was a little out of the city centre – 20min bus ride. We were han-gry, impatient and getting frustrated when we finally found our way there :) All this frustration disappeared when we arrived on the top of the hill and discovered the beautiful and impressive Bailbrook House Hotel standing there. As our room wasn’t ready yet, we headed to the bar for a quick snack. The weather was perfect but still too chilly to have lunch on the terrace.

After a little rest, we were ready to discover the city of Bath. With the days getting longer, we wandered around, hand in hand, taking advantage of the moment..

The city reminded me a lot different other cities at the same time but mostly Florence in Italy with the famous bridge and numerous jewellery shops, and Lille in the north of France with its architecture, lively and dynamic spirit, international students, shopping places, and many restaurants.

After passing in front of all these windows filled with delicious food, sweets and delicacies, we headed back to the hotel to get ready for dinner. Can't celebrate without bubbles ;)

The rest of the week-end in Bath will come in the next post :)
