Watch: Weird-Looking Robotic Octopus Swimming in the Water

If you thought Doc Ock looked scary, wait till you see this real-life robotic octopus. I actually thought there are enough octopus in the sea. But, it looks like it wasn’t enough for these scientists who have invented a robotic octopus that has the ability to swim with its tentacles under-water.

Yes, that is a pretty awesome achievement. Apparently, the technique they’ve used to make this thing swim with its’ eight tentacles is called “sculling”. After testing out few methods, the research team at the Foundation for Research and Technology – Hellas in Greece have found the sculling method to be the most successful. It actually make this robot looks so real.
