Seanna Sharpe is an aerialist from Brooklyn.
CBS2 New York: On July 12, 2011 at around 7 pm, 24-year-old Sharpe defied gravity and police by staging an aerialist performance 300 feet above the Williamsburg Bridge’s span. 27-year-old magician Thomas Skinner helped her to climb the bridge.
While a crowd gathered below and cheered during the free 15-minute show, the NYPD was far less amused.
Sharpe and Skinner reportedly tried to run away but were eventually caught by officers and charged with endangerment and criminal trespassing. Sharpe apparently knew she was going away in handcuffs — she had brought a lawyer along with her to the bridge.
According to Sharpe’s website, she has performed for Cirque Du Soleil, the Guggenheim and with Beyonce.
