Garlits’ original attempt was to hit 200 mph speed with his dragster. After several attempts he was unable to complete his goal. However, after reaching 184 MPH he did break the previous 160 mph record into pieces.

Garlits’ silent SR-37 dragster gets powered by 1,500 kilowatts lithium-polymer battery pack boasting over 2,000 horsepower. After putting this machine to more tweaking, “Big Daddy” aims to put the dragster to test again to try and reach 200 mph.
