Chris Hadfield, the Canadian astronaut who brought you some amazing videos from the ISS over the last few months including the first ever music video shot in space, has created an amazing video to kick off the new year.
Titled “An Astronaut’s Guide to Optimism“, Hadfield shows us why we should actually be happy about the current state of the world and the achievements we’ve made over the past few years.
“Our world is not as bad a place as we often feel it to be. It is easy to look to the future and lament how far there is left to go, but sometimes it is helpful to stop and reflect on just how far we’ve come.”

And in the end, he leaves us with an important question – “This New Years, my resolution is to help make our world a better place. What’s yours?”
