Washed Out’s New Lyric Video for ‘don’t Give Up’ [video]

Georgia native Ernest Greene, better known as Washed Out, went to college to become a librarian, graduated, failed at becoming a librarian, then had to move in with his parents. Sad. However depressing this sounds, though, we’re sure glad it happened, because otherwise he never would have started making music, become the artist Washed Out or subsequently made this trippy lyric video for his song “Don’t Give Up”. Taken from his upcoming album Paracosm, this visual is surprisingly captivating given that it consists of lyrics being displayed over a slowly moving flower print.  However, this probably has something to do with the cohesion between his smooth chillwave sound and the equally “chill” aesthetic of the video. This is the second lyric video for a single off his upcoming album, following the one he did for “It All Feels Right”.
