Some Democratic candidates for president in 2020 have done what is, in my opinion, a very strange thing. They have appeared on the Fox News network in a town hall setting.
Bernie Sanders and Amy Klobuchar have already done this, and other appearances are "in the works" -- including appearances by Pete Buttigieg and Kirsten Gillibrand.
Why are they doing this? Are they really so divorced from reality as to believe the Fox News audience will "see the light" and vote for them? It ain't gonna happen. It just gives the fake journalists at Fox an opportunity to ask them loaded questions and try to embarrass them. No matter how good a performance they may think they've done, they are not going to get any votes from Fox News viewers.
Fortunately, we have at least one Democratic candidate with some common sense. Elizabeth Warren has refused to do a Fox News town hall. She calls Fox a "hate-for-profit" network, and she says she refuses to give them even a veneer of legitimacy.
