Warning: Google and YouTube

I just feel the need to rant here for a second.   Last night I was attempting to change my email address on Google so that I could continue geting Google Alerts.   I found that the only way to do that was to delete one profile and create another.   So I deleted my profile.   As I was deleting it gave me a very long list of the other Google services that would be affected, but since I rarely use any of them, I didn't read carefully and hit "delete".   Well, it turns out that I deleted my YouTube channel, permanently.   My many videos (with 2 million views, thousands of comments) and my 4,500 subscribers...all gone.   I am sick to my stomach.   Of course I will start over and create a new channel.   I just can't believe a big WARNING didn't show up when I tried to delete.   This connection between Google and YouTube has proved to be disastrous for me.   Ok, so in the overall scheme of life, and what people suffer every day, this is not a huge deal.   But it makes me ill nevertheless.   Just sending this warning to all of you out there who have YouTube channels of your own.
