Wanting, Needing & Having

"There's a difference between wanting, needing, & having. Once you have what you want, make sure that what you want & have is what you need."

-Unknown-
Wanting, needing and having can be seen to have the same meaning. I mean, some of our things that we have can be viewed as things that we want and need. Most people sought out to buy things that they want and need, and therefore have. For others, it is a battle between choosing something that they need over something that they want. But what happens when we cannot differentiate between things that we want, need or have.
In Economics, a need is something you have to have, and a want is something you would like to have. It's human nature to want things, whether it be material things, a person, a feeling or even for an event to happen. But do we really need these things? Do they define our happiness, our sense of worth or how we value ourselves? Ever heard of the term, "money can't buy happiness"? Money is obviously what many of us want, but can having more money really make us happy? Some may argue that, yes money indeed do buy  happiness. But I firmly believe, the richer you are, the less happy you are. You can disagree all you want.
In a nutshell, there is a difference between wanting, needing and having something. It is imperative to know the difference between needing something and wanting another. We should fulfill the things in life that we need, before going after things that we want. Most importantly, we should find happiness in the things that we already have.
