Hello. Hello. Hello. Yes, I know it's been a while... I've, ummm, been a tad bit busy. Life has been getting in the way of my blogging. Seriously, it's the truth and yes, its funny I know but, it's the truth. I purposely intended for you to chuckle. Anyhow, life has been busy. And let's just leave it at that. I'd absolutely love to be getting on a jet plane and flying off to some far and exotic place. Ahhh, yes...the traveler in me is so very much wanting to do this! My inner voice is saying "yes, pick me, yes I am here, pick me, I can be ready in 20 minutes, passport too"... But, you see I'm not going anywhere. Candidly, it's just not in the cards. I wish things were different and they will be. But, for now I'm going to switch things up!
Every Wednesday, starting next week, I'm going to write about a place and make it an escape. An escape that each and every one of us can enjoy and of course some Wednesday's might be better than others (destination dependent).
The whole premise behind this series was to create a magically escape in your day and make you go "wow...I want to be there" or "I remember that...", I'm sure you get my point. I want to spark recognition of a place, a destination, a moment. Something special for the day - to take you back a moment in time. Here's the first one...
I chose this picture because it definitely takes me back. I remember the crisp air. The excitement of being in a new city. A foreign country. And in Italy no less. Rome. It was a fabulous 5-days. And the cobblestones take me back. If I remember correctly I paused outside of the Colosseum to remember were we walked. We were mesmerized. Almost a year later, I still am.
