Hair & Beauty Magazine
As said, I will be reviewing about a lot of products that are meant to soothe and repair dry skin throughout this week. So, today on my testing table is the VLCC Cocoa Butter Hydrating Body Lotion .
About VLCC Cocoa Butter Hydrating Body Lotion:
Cocoa butter is one of the best natural skin conditioners. It contains fatty acids that help in hydrating the skin deeply making it look and feel soft and supple. Enriched with antioxidants this nourishing emollient fights environmental stressors and free radicals, keeping them from damaging the skin cells that trigger premature aging. Combining the benefits of Cocoa butter with conditioning qualities of olive oil and aloe gel VLCC has whipped up this beautiful hydrating body lotion that moisturizes the skin and keeps it looking young, flawless and radiant.
Price:Rs.155 for 200 ml Available herePackaging: VLCC Cocoa Butter Hydrating Body Lotion comes in a white bottle with a white flip open cap.
Product: The lotion is white in color with a medium consistency that is neither runny nor very thick. It has a nutty smell.
My experience: The VLCC Cocoa Butter Hydrating Body Lotion has a simple packaging which I like. I love the nutty smell, although it does not have sweetness. The texture is semi-thick and it gets absorbed into my dry skin in an instant. It is not at all greasy on my skin at least. The good things about the lotion is it has SPF15 with UVA & UVB protection. It has ingredients that is meant to hydrate skin, like cocoa butter, aloe vera extract and olive oil. I have pretty dry skin. I think this lotion will be suitable for me during summers.
VLCC Cocoa Butter Hydrating Body Lotion hydrates skin well but for dry skin like mine, it is not able to keep the skin nourished and smooth for a long time. Within 2 hours I can find my skin is in need of moisturization. So, I feel this lotion is suitable for normal to oily skin. I had tried it on my husband's skin, who has pretty oily skin with some dryness during winter, and his skin remained quite hydrated throughout the day (although he hated the nutty smell).
Pros:1.Goodness of cocoa butter2.Natural ingredients like aloe vera extract, olive oil and wheat germ oil3.Decently hydrating4.Nutty smell5.SPF 15 with UVA & UVB protection6.Good for normal to oily skin7.Softens the skin8.Affordable
Cons:1.Not moisturizing enough for dry skin2.Needs reapplication
Rating:4/5
VLCC Cocoa Butter Hydrating Body Lotion is a decent moisturizer for normal skin that does not tend to get dry. I have dry skin and I feel, it can be of good use for me during summers.
