Last month I did a virtual styling session with M.M. LaFleur. I was hesitant as I was not sure how it'd work out virtually. I am happy to report that I had a wonderful session with Chris. While they have a store in Georgetown, D.C. I chose to do it virtually for two reasons:

  • I’m still practicing social distancing
  • I was curious to find out how it’d go
I must say I was pleasantly surprised by how easy, and effective the styling session with a Chris was - He not only zero’d-in on my personal style but also made some great recommendations which were totally 'me'.
The most fun part of the appointment was picking pieces of course. While I’d mentioned to Chris in the beginning of our session that my fall/winter wardrobe was more pants/tops, I actually ended up choosing a bright red Orchard Skirt and the Chadwick Sweater in peony.
As documented on the blog for over a decade, you might know that I love colors but my formal wardrobe however is more classic with a lot of blue, black, gray (as expected).
But working from home has changed everything. Now you can find me in jeans, in skirts, even dresses so why not in this beautiful silk skirt and luxurious stylish sweater.

I finished the look with my brand new bag from Hampton Road Designs (Austin, Tx). It is an all-leather bag hand-woven by women-owned studio in central Mexico. The bag is called Annie, named after the famous photographer, Annie Leibovitz. The strap is 1970's vintage red sari-inspired pattern that was woven in Japan. Talk about a multi-cultural bag!
