(Image found on the blog of Yellowdog Granny.)Three major religions sprang from the descendants of Abraham -- judaism, christianity, and islam. And even though they all claim to believe in a loving god, they are the bloodiest religions in the modern world. They all have a history of condoning violence, especially against the other Abrahamic religions, and that violent hatred persists today. Frankly, I don't understand it. How does a loving god spawn such violent religions? Do the adherents of these religions really think hatred and violence spring from love?
