A week and a half after my accident, I decided to brave wearing heels. It hurt like hell. On a more positive note, my friend Rita at Simply Chic saved this beautiful beaded and velvet kimono for me. She knows me so well. I took an inventory of my closet, and discovered that all my favorite items have come from her!

Why I'm A•Mused: I love vintage because it forever erases the "how many others own this?" dilemma. (On the flip side, if you should ever run into someone who actually has the same vintage piece, you're sure to become instant friends.) Also, these earrings make me so happy. I know I say it all the time, but I love quirky items. Insect earrings bring me so much joy. That, and my new turquoise ring was such a surprise to find at the fair!
